Steatite High Temperature Terminal Blocks
Product Overview
IPS Ceramics’ Steatite High-Temperature Terminal Blocks are robust, fire-rated terminal blocks specialised for safety-critical applications.
Terminal blocks are used to secure and/or terminate multiple wires together. IPS Ceramics’ terminal blocks are made of steatite, a highly heat resistant material with strong dielectric properties that remains safe and stable even in direct heat situations. For this reason, our steatite terminal blocks have been successfully fire-tested to over 840 °C (1544 °F) and are often used in safety-critical applications such as emergency power supplies, alarm and lighting systems, enclosures in demanding situations, and oven/furnace construction.
IPS Ceramics offers 8-way and 12-way steatite terminal blocks as standard (other multiple-way blocks are available on request). Their multi-hole design means that our blocks are much faster and easier to install than rail mounted terminals. They come supplied with a complete set of nickel-plated 304 stainless steel connectors and screws. The result is a no-hassle, ready-to-fit component with a strong focus on design flexibility and component compatibility.
