IPS Ceramics to Exhibit at Ceramics Expo 2018

Keeping in tune with Cleveland

Once again, IPS Ceramics USA will participate in Ceramics Expo, Cleveland International Exposition Center, Ohio, USA, 1st-3rd May & Mike Jackson, Phil Green and President of IPS Ceramics USA Sukhjinder Singh will be in attendance.

First up, given that Cleveland is home to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame – the most comprehensive repository of materials relating to the history of rock ‘n’ roll – IPS will be sending over specially made alumina guitar picks and guitar-shapes fabricated from recrystalised and nitride-bonded silicon carbide.

On a more serious note, Ceramics Expo will see the US launch of the company’s new speciality cordierite ceramics: a porous grade (C520) that is best for thermal shock resistance and use at higher temperatures, and a non-porous grade (C410) that is stronger and impermeable. The manufacturing processes (extrusion, pressing and injection moulding) allow a wide variety of shapes and sizes to be produced. This offers the customer an attractive mix of design flexibility and high-temperature capability.

Cordierite products are fired at 1375°C (°F) to give a material that is volume stable in service (temperatures up to 1300°C/2370°F). Products are thermally and electrically insulating and are often used as lead-in tubes or as supports for wire heating coils.

The ever-widening IPS portfolio finds applications across a number of end-use industries, and so the display will also feature recently introduced silicon carbide tubes, beams, rollers and small burner nozzles, as well as cast cordierite setters for the ceramic tableware industry.

Also up for discussion on the booth will be the express alumina tube service, with a variety of diameters on offer and cutting to custom lengths. This is offered on a rapid dispatch basis.

IPS Ceramics USA will exhibit at Ceramics Expo 2018 on Booth 441.

If you would like to arrange a meeting with Mike and Phil in advance, then please just drop a quick e-mail message to m.jackson@ipsceramics.com and say which day and what time would suit you.
