Silicon Nitride
PAGE NAVIGATION
IPS Ceramics’ Silicon Nitride (Si3N4) is an extremely tough and durable material. It has an extremely high mechanical strength, hardness, and is very thermodynamically stable.
Silicon Nitride is generally not wetted by molten metals, making it the ideal choice for welding-jig fixtures and location pins. Its high hardness gives exceptional wear resistance for bearings. Other applications include liners for induction heating equipment, plus any ceramic components that are subjected to impact shocks.
