Competition: How Many Alumina Pyramids are in the Bottle?

When we’re at events and expos, a popular feature is always our Alumina Pyramid Competition. Each expo, we fill a bottle with Alumina Pyramids and challenge people to guess how many there are. Prizes for the closest guess have included Whiskey, Bespoke Silicon Carbide Chess Sets, and more.

People who couldn’t attend the expo can sometimes miss out though, so we’re bringing the competition online! Above is a photo of a bottle filled with Alumina Pyramids. If you think you can tell how many there are, let us know – the closest guess we receive will win A LIMITED EDITION CERAMIC KNIFE made from zirconia.

To enter, simply go to the competition post on LinkedIn, Twitter or Facebook, follow us (if you haven’t already) and post your guess as a comment on that post. The competition will close at noon on 25th October 2019 (GMT). Good luck!

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • The competition runs from 9:00 AM 21/09/2019 (GMT) until 12:00 Noon 25/09/2019 (GMT). Any entries made before or after these times will not be counted.
  • For an entry to be counted as valid: a) it must be posted as a comment to one of our social media posts about the competition, b) you must follow us on the social media website that you post the comment on, and c) it must feature one number which will be counted as your guess.
  • Entrants must be over the age of 18.
  • The winner shall be the single person whose guess is closest to the actual number of Alumina Pyramids in the bottle. If more than one person guesses the exact amount, or if there is tie, then the winner shall be picked by random from the potential winning entries.
  • One entry per person. If you post more than one entry, we will only accept your first one. If you post more than one guess in a single entry, we will only count the first one.
  • By entering, you agree to allow IPS Ceramics to use your name in marketing materials associated with the competition (assuming you win).
  • IPS Ceramics retains the right to change any of the Terms and Conditions for this competition at any time without prior notice.
