IPS Ceramics were proud to welcome Fiskars Group to China last week to see our new IPS-Trend Industrial Ceramics manufacturing plant.
Fiskars Group serves customers around the world with globally recognized brands such as Fiskars, Gerber, Iittala, Royal Copenhagen, Waterford, and Wedgwood. Their iconic lifestyle products are available in over 100 countries and are designed to create a positive, lasting impact on their customer’s quality of life.
Six representatives from four Fiskars companies came to visit us, including:
- Gary Phoenix (Ceramics Factories Director, Fiskars Group)
- Niko Piirainen (Managing Director, Royal Copenhagen (Thailand))
- Henrik Toft (Factory Manager, Royal Copenhagen (Denmark))
- Richard Davison (Factory Manager, Wedgwood)
- Stefan Pitterling (Factory Manager, PT Doulton)
- Riswandoko Jatidjo Rusmin (Engineering Manager, PT Doulton)
The Fiskars team were treated to a personal tour of our brand new factory in Baodi, Tianjin by Ian Wright (Operations Director) and Catherine Lv (IPS Commercial Coordinator Asia). The Baodi factory is a custom-built facility which will provide us with a significantly higher production capacity and greater room for future expansion. It comes with a training room, a fully stocked R&D laboratory, and everything required to push our product ranges and manufacturing processes further than ever before.
The Fiskars team thanked IPS for their visit and commented that our Baodi factory “gives an amazing opportunity to produce a high quality refractory product efficiently with significant capacity and space available for future growth”.
