Tableware Systems

IPS Ceramics has enormous experience in designing and manufacturing systems for the ceramic tableware industry and still counts major names across the world as key customers.

Achieving the right result from the start means the Design Team taking a number of critical factors into consideration, such as ceramic body, product mix, kiln car push/speed, burner positioning, firing cycle, weight, loading/unloading etc.

We provide entire Tableware Support Systems for all the principal sectors:

• Bone China
• Porcelain
• Stoneware
• Earthenware

Some products lend themselves to Fixed Height Systems. In these situations, IPS Ceramics manufactures fixed height props and all the associated refractory components.

We also have many years’ experience in Adjustable Systems, with props typically ranging from heights of 165mm to 665mm allowing anything from single-shelf to multi-shelf kiln car settings. These can be used for temperatures up to 1300°C.

Alternatively, for lower temperature firing, IPS Ceramics uses an industry-leading lightweight adjustable system that is up to 50% lighter than conventional systems. This is a highly fuel efficient system.

Naturally, a range of Flue Support Systems are included and fittings can be used in conjunction with the flue support systems to allow the height to be adjusted.

Optimised ware support, thermal and physical stability, flexible setting and energy efficiency are the keywords in our design phase, where we work closely with each customer.
